KENNETH PASCHAL
Retired U.S. Army First Sergeant –
Running for Alabama State House of Representative, District 73
Children are our future and society’s greatest assets. I will stand to protect all vulnerable children, both born and unborn, irrespective of their parent’s marital status or living arrangement.
Family and Parental Rights are fundamental rights, which directly influence the upbringing of one’s children. As long as children have access to both (fit) biological parents to depend on, they will grow up healthy and strong. Right now, many do not. I support strong family relationships and believe they constitute the foundation of our communities, irrespective of the relationship shared with one’s co-parent.
Education is an important component of economic development. As our county population continues to grow, our county and city school systems must grow with it; not only in size, but in the type of educational offerings. I support parental options for every child’s education, whether that be public, private, charter, magnet, technical, vocational, or home-school.
The Second Amendment guarantees our right to keep and bear firearms. I will work to uphold your right to protect yourself, including protecting veterans from losing their Second Amendment right to purchase or own a firearm.
I am a veteran and a Patriot. Of course, I support a strong, sufficiently-funded military to provide for our nation’s defense. And I have a vested interest in making sure our veterans receive their well-earned benefits.
The First Amendment protects our right to free speech. As your legislator I will work hard to support those rights and oppose attempts to silence, violate, or weaken them. I will protect religious freedom and your right to congregate.
Fourth Amendment protects us against unreasonable search and seizure. With the advancing technology and the many threats our society now faces, it is becoming more difficult to protect ourselves against government interference in our lives. I will passionately protect your rights!
Tenth Amendment protects Alabama from Federal encroachment. As your legislator, I will utilize this tool to shield us from unfair, unsolicited, and unwarranted Federal laws, decrees, and overreach.
Fourteenth Amendment provides equal protection for all citizens. As a man of integrity with conservative principles, I want to ensure the conservative voice needed in the Alabama State House in order to uphold Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities, and Justice for all.
Infrastructure is another important component to promote economic development. Improving our highways, streets, roads, and traffic are a priority to me and vital to our district economic development and prosperity. I will make sure we get our fair share of state and federal funding.
We need to ensure an equitable tax burden! I will work with fellow legislators to create a tax model that will allow residents and small business owners to pay only what is their reasonable share, and at the same time, still reduce waste and adequately fund our government.
I served and am still serving!
